Open Enrollment Starts 5/11/2026 and Ends 5/24/2026
What’s Changing for 2026-27?
- Our life and disability coverages are moving from Lincoln to UHC, effective July 1, 2026. As part of this transition, the Voluntary Life guarantee issue will increase for both you and your spouse (see below).
- We are separating the UHC Dental and VSP Vision coverages from one another this year. You will now be able to elect these plans independently from one another.
- New Voluntary Supplemental Health Plans: This year we’re adding Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity insurance from UHC.
- The deductible for virtual care visits has been removed from the UHC medical plans.
- New Level 2 Specialty Care – Type 2 Diabetes Program from UHC, including access to continuous glucose monitoring insights and a virtual care team to assist with your needs.
- Voluntary Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) elections will reset. If you want coverage after July 1, you must elect coverage during this open enrollment period.
- For this Open Enrollment period only, you can elect up to $250,000 of coverage for yourself, $50,000 for your spouse and $10,000 for your children, without needing to answer medical questions.
- Paycheck costs for healthcare are increasing slightly. Pentagon will cover most of the renewal increase.
- Due to IRS mandates, the UHC HDHP benefits will change slightly ($1,700/$3,400 deductible).
- HSA annual contribution limit increases: now $4,400/individual, $8,750/family.
